SOCIAL MEDIA CRAZE IS NOT DYING IN FORESEEABLE FUTURE

What’s the hype?

Believe it or not, it has been more than 10 years after Facebook (the leading platform) was created by Mark Zuckerberg back in 2004; yet the excitement around social media is even getting stronger to date. And since 2004, there has been a raise in the number of social media platforms. “What is this hype all about?” one can wonder. Well, it can be the mere fact that ‘No man is an island’ and we are constantly seeking to make new connections. Furthermore, there is no denying that social media has brought new experiences and exposures which are both negative and positive. Ultimately, social media has and continues to impact today’s lifestyle.

Upraise of Vloggers and Bloggers

Among the many impacts of social media in today’s lifestyle, blogging or ‘vlogging’ is definitely noticeable and is more popular with the young generation. YouTube, which is among the major platforms, is responsible in promoting video contents (vlogs) by rewarding the creators handsomely and not charging a fee to their subscribers. This has changed the perception of social media being a platform only to connect with the world but also to earn-a-living while in enjoyment. Consequently, in the recent years, the number of vloggers and bloggers has risen sharply and more among the youth who are driven to make a living in doing it. And indeed, there are numerous accounts of people succeeding and living a life of their dreams. One such account is ‘The ACE Family’ who started out by doing vlogs on YouTube in January 2016 and today their channel has more than 9 million subscribers which translate to a handsome reward for views per vlog.

Will Social Media Craze Ever Die?

Social media continues to create more opportunities for people seeking to generate income. And as long as this remains true, the craze of social media will not die at least in the foreseeable future.
